Curriculum Intent

At Cuddington Primary School, our curriculum is rooted in our values of Respect, Collaborate and Aspire and guided by our school rules: Ready, Respectful and Safe.

Our approach is Learning for Purpose. We want children to understand why they are learning and how their knowledge and skills connect to the world around them. Through meaningful experiences, we ensure learning is relevant, memorable and prepares pupils for life beyond the classroom.

Our curriculum aims to ensure that every child leaves Cuddington as a confident, kind and capable citizen, equipped with the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed for life beyond primary school.

Our curriculum:

• Is ambitious, inclusive and aspirational, enabling all children, including those with SEND, to thrive

• Builds strong core knowledge and skills, alongside resilience, independence and curiosity

• Promotes positive relationships, responsibility and a strong sense of community and belonging

We enrich learning through:

• High-quality meaningful experiences, including arts, drama, forest school, trips and residentials

• Strong pupil leadership opportunities, such as Head Pupils, School Council and Eco Warriors

• Active partnerships within our local community, across Northwich schools and through our Create Learning Trust, broadening horizons and raising aspirations

Through our curriculum, children learn to respect themselves and others, collaborate with confidence and aspire to achieve their best, now and in the future.
